What began as an email to staff at my school has become something that I look forward to each week.  I love to investigate new resources for those that teach and for those not necessarily in a classroom.  I hope that you can find things here that you can use!

Good news!  Good news!  MovieMaker is back!!  Well, not really, but the Video Editor app in Windows is (IMO) even better.  Below are the steps to get you started…

(NOTE:  I recommend that you follow @VideoEditorEDU on Twitter for lots of tips and tricks!)

In the “Search” window, type “Video Editor.”

When the program opens, you can select “New Project” or continue editing a project that you’ve been editing.

Use the “+ Add” to bring video clips and pictures from your computer.

Simply drag the clips into the timeline across the bottom to begin editing.

With a double click on the video/picture in the timeline, you have editing options – trim, split, volume, motion, text…just to name a few.

The text options are great!  Lots of fonts, backgrounds and music.

When your project is complete, simply click “Finish Video” in the top right corner to save.
