Good morning and welcome to Tech Tuesday w/ Mr. Reece! Today's edition is about one of my favorite things - LEGOs!!
First, I'm excited to announce that LEGO Education has rolled out a new PD Platform that offers lots of opportunities for you to learn how to incorporate more LEGOs in your classroom!
LEGO Education - Have you seen the LEGO Education website? It's a great l=place to look for lessons and ideas for using LEGOs in the classroom. There are tons of resources and downloads available to you.
We have our first LEGO story cart ready to roll!
You might be asking, “What is a LEGO Story Cart?” Well, basically, it’s a whole lot of creative opportunities packaged up in a lot of educational fun on wheels!
Some possible uses.
Lit/Comp – Build for 5 minutes, then write about what you built.
Science – build Biomes, cells, animals
Math – fractions, fractions, fractions
Social Studies – cartography, dwellings
Each cart contains 16 kits (bin of LEGOs and a base plate). Right now, we just have the one available for check out, but more are coming!
