What began as an email to staff at my school has become something that I look forward to each week.  I love to investigate new resources for those that teach and for those not necessarily in a classroom.  I hope that you can find things here that you can use!

Are you “tied” to your SmartBoard (or Promethean, etc.)?

During presentations do you stand close to the board or your computer because you know you’re going to have a “click” coming up?

Do you ever wish that you could go stand next to that student that isn’t paying attention?

Well, here are some options that will help you become more “mobile” in your classroom…

1)  Wireless Presenter Remote Presentation USB Control PowerPoint Clicker ~ I have this particular model.  It works with PowerPoint and Smart Notebook.  It will easily progress the slides/animation from anywhere in the room.

2) Wireless Keyboard and Mouse ~ I also have this.  I can progress slides as well as completely control the computer from anywhere in the room with the mouse and I can type on the screen from anywhere in the room with the keyboard.

3) The Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter ~ I don’t have this one (yet!), but it allows you to move your computer anywhere in the room and still project to the whiteboard.  If your laptop is touch screen, then you have all of the capabilities of your SmartBoard from anywhere in the room.  If you decide to get one these, you will need a USB power supply for it to work.

If you are using another method to be mobile within your classroom, I’d love to hear about!
